About the role

About the Opportunity

Responsible for the general cleaning of specific areas such as clinical areas, laboratory and laundry areas, patient rooms, washrooms, corridors, cafeteria, kitchen, public areas and offices.  Maintain floor surfaces using dry and damp mopping techniques and vacuuming carpets.  Responsible for using and maintaining flood machines and auto-scrubbers, scrubbing, waxing and buffing of floor surfaces.  As well, washing, dusting of beds, furnishings, utensils and equipment as per established procedures. To perform related laundry functions to ensure that sufficient quantities of clean, finished linen are available to all user departments/nursing units /customers.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  •  Grade 12/GED education or equivalent work experience required
  •  Previous laundry experience is an asset.
  •  Ability to operate housekeeping equipment.
  •  Must be able to perform repetitive duties.
  •  Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  •  Must be able to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
