MAINTENANCE II (25-0000535)

Department: Maintenance
Site: Hogarth Riverview Manor
Shifts: Days
Rate of Pay: $29.88 per hour
The Maintenance II – is responsible for maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, moving, repairing, building components, property, equipment and fixtures throughout the assigned St. Joseph’s Care Group sites.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:

Minimum education required is Grade 12 and related job experience similar to tradesman qualifications or technical school graduation in electrical, plumbing, millwrighting, painting, sheet metal, etc. majors; or a combination of equivalent experience and education; e.g.; Provincial Building Operator's Certificate

Five years of related experience in the methods and practices of a particular trade
Skills/Abilities:

Proficient computer skills for accessing of information, updating preventative maintenance program and/or equipment troubleshooting

Must be in good physical condition. Physical demands of the job include walking, bending, lifting, reaching, carrying, crawling, etc.

Must have good eye-hand co-ordination
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-005 or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
