About the role
The Nordic Supervisor will drive new and existing nordic revenue initiatives while overseeing the daily operation of all nordic activities including ticketing, retail, rental, programming, special events, trail maintenance & development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure exceptional nordic experiences for all guests
Lead & motivate staff members
Manage tasks contributing towards a profitable operation for stakeholders.
Above all else the Nordic Supervisor will maintain an operationally safe facility for guests and team members to enjoy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Greywolf Clubhouse (ticket, rental, retail, lesson, facility) along with the scheduling & supervision of team members.
- Development of nordic retail and retail orders via approved vendors
- Development of cross country, fat bike and snowshoe programs
- Ongoing recruitment and the effective roll out of a Nordic Friends program
- Contribute to annual business plan and budgeting process.
- Liaise with Greywolf Mgt on day-to-day operational items regarding facilities and golf course trails.
- Liaise with Mtn Operations on day-to-day operational grooming and trail building maintenance.
- Liaise with Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club on early, regular, and late season training.
- Liaise with CANSI on scheduling of certification courses and events.
- Teach nordic lessons as required based on guest needs and business volumes.
- Other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two years’ previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a Nordic operation / club.
- Minimum CANSI (Canadian Association Nordic Ski Instructors) Level 1 in good standing
- People focused with high integrity.
- Physically fit, able to work outside.
- Able to adapt to dynamic work schedule due to weather and people demands. Able to work in the evening and weekends.
- Posse strong computing skills with the ability to onboard new software platforms
