We are looking to fill a casual position at DXP | HSE Integrated for the position of Confined Space Rescue Technician at our Dartmouth, NS Station.

The Confined Space Rescue Technician’s main responsibility is to work as a team member during rescue situations and critical tasks.

Confined Space Rescue Technician’s responsibilities and requirements:

· Facilitate rescue in the event of an incident

· Development and communication of site-specific rescue plans

· Inspect and maintain all rescue equipment on daily basis and complete all applicable documentation

· Perform atmospheric testing, pre-entry and continuous

· Ability to follow support hierarchy

· Ability to work away from home for project duration

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment, with a willingness to learn and grow with us

· Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

Required qualifications:

· Current Confined Space Entry & Rescue training is an asset

· Current First Aid & CRP training is an asset

· Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

· Experience running breathing air systems is an asset

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Arrive to work clean shaven and fit for duty

· Physically fit and able to perform job tasks, ability to maintain professionalism in high pressure situations

· Previous experience in a similar role
