Position: Finance Manager
Location: Toronto (Full-Time, In-Office Only)
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 base + performance bonus
Industry: Investment Management / Advisory
Our client, a well-established Toronto-based investment management and advisory firm, is seeking a Finance Manager to support the finance function across both corporate and fund-level entities. This is a full-time, in-office role with significant exposure to fund accounting, corporate reporting, and operational finance. It is ideal for a CPA-designated professional from a Big 4 background who is looking for long-term growth toward a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with full-cycle financial reporting, including preparation of audited financials and management reports
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and support monthly close processes
- Contribute to fund-level reporting and investor statement preparation
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with treasury functions
- Support regulatory filings and ensure compliance with investment and real estate regulations
- Assist with tax compliance, expense tracking, and budgeting
- Help prepare investor reports, board presentations, and other financial materials
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and banking partners
- Provide operational finance support (insurance, payroll, IT, etc.)
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial operations
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (or close to completion)
- 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a Big 4 background
- Solid understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in asset management, private equity, or investment advisory considered a strong asset
- Proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills and professional communication abilities
