We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for cooking high-quality fried foods in the Teppanyaki Grill Station in front of customers. This role is essential in delivering delicious meals to our customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook stir-fry dishes according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of food.
- Manage the Teppanyaki Grill Station efficiently, ensuring proper heat control and cooking techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking ingredients as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Engage with customers in open kitchen settings, demonstrating cooking techniques and responding to questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after shifts.
- Work with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service.
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude and assist them in placing orders.
- Answer questions about the menu, promotions, or combo options.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and escalate issues to the manager if needed.
Skills
- Experience in food service or the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Basic cooking skills, particularly in frying techniques and meal preparation.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen demands.
