ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-
Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

BScN preferred.
-
Current BCLS certification.
-
Minimum 3 years Emergency experience.
-
Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education and experience with triage
-
IV certification.
-
Certification in delegated medical acts specific for Emergency Nursing.
-
Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.
-
Certification in ACLS.
-
Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
-
Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Emergency Care.

Non violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Training
-
Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
-
Member of RNAO preferred
-
Satisfactory attendance.
