About the role
Under the supervision of the Ground Operations Manager, the incumbent acts as a ramp agent - lead and provides a safe, professional, courteous and polite experience for passengers and crew members.
Description of the main duties:
- Greet passengers and crew members in a professional, courteous and respectful manner;
- Respect at all times the application of safety rules on the ramp and in the hangar;
- Prepare aircraft for flight and customer acceptance;
- Guide aircraft during arrivals and departures, using hand signals;
- Tow aircraft;
- Refuel aircraft;
- Load/unload;
- Transport passengers/crew members;
- Other related tasks.
Conditions
- Full time
- Available Monday to Sunday
Requirements
* Must have a Canadian work permit at a minimum;
- Valid driver's license (class 5);
- Class 3 driver’s license (an asset);
- Hold an Airside "D" Driver's Licence (AVOP), or be prepared to obtain one within the first 3 months of employment;
- Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC);
- Bilingual (French and English spoken);
- Experience in aviation (an asset);
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to work in different climatic conditions (hot and cold);
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs).
