About the role
Position Summary
As a Mover/Driver in our Express Vaults division, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient pick-up, transportation, storage, and delivery of client goods using our vault containers. This role combines professional driving, physical moving work, and a strong focus on customer service and care for client property.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Transportation
- Operate company vehicles (cube van, straight truck, or similar) to transport vaults to and from customer locations and AMJ facilities.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Vault Handling & Moving
- Load and unload vaults with care, using proper material handling equipment (dollies, liftgates, etc.).
- Safely handle, wrap, and protect furniture, boxes, and specialty items for transport and storage.
- Secure vaults inside vehicles and warehouses following company protocols.
- Customer Service
- Provide professional, courteous service at all times; communicate with customers regarding job status, timelines, and handling instructions.
- Address customer questions and concerns in a positive, solution-focused manner.
- Warehouse Support
- Assist with inventory management, vault organization, and warehouse operations as needed.
- Complete necessary paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and on time.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Report any incidents, damages, or near misses promptly to supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid [Province] Class 5 (or higher) driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Prior experience in moving, delivery, or warehousing preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs/23 kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends as needed.
