About the role
Summary
Reporting to the local Branch Manager, the Operations Manager will support operations across our multiple accounts. This role will liaise and collaborate closely with different departments within the organization to ensure all service expectations are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning:
· Collaborate with local facility managers and operations team on creating the forecasting plans and help in designing operations infrastructure to support the customer/Owner Operator performance.
· Work on sortation/operational plans for the business with a focus on performance management with owner operators and internal team.
Engagement & Execution:
· Manage relationships within the organization with National Service Account Managers, coordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings, generate reports to review operations and support direct reports.
· Review the current inventory and replenishment processes across accounts and improve the operational efficiency.
· Instrumental in setting up and piloting new customer accounts to roll out to a National level. Participate in brainstorming and process review sessions to scale up the operations.
· Recommend staffing needs for the department & ensure adequate and continuous training of staff
· Have an understanding working in a union environment, collective bargaining agreement.

Reporting & Analysis:
· Work with team to review/setup operational KPIs and deliver on those KPIs working with distribution team, warehouse team and external vendors.
· Reviewing replenishment schedule & reviewing inbound pick up schedule and dispatch local calls
· Measuring efficiencies in local sort team and look for improvements
Other:
· Work in a safe manner and meet company safety requirements
· Ensure Safety and Compliance protocols are being met
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Possibility of travel
Employment Requirements:
· 3-5 years Supply Chain experience setting.
· Well versed in Microsoft office.
· Experience in managing operations for Transportation Companies, Direct-to-Consumer and final mile businesses.
· Planning experience a plus.
· Excellent communication skills.
