Job Description:
Nobu Restaurant and Hotel in downtown Toronto is currently seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join our security team in both full-time and part-time capacities. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and premises. With shifts available on weekdays and weekends, afternoons, and overnights, this role offers flexibility to accommodate various schedules.

Location: 35 Mercer Street

Compensation: Up to $25.00 an hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance, investigating disturbances and taking appropriate action.
• Escort individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of security incidents, observations, and activities.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard License issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
• A minimum of 3 years of Security Guard experience, preferably in a hospitality or hotel environment is a must.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, exercising sound judgment in challenging situations.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
