Position Overview:
The Parts Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the parts department by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing automotive parts and accessories. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely support to both the service department and external customers. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and interested in building a career within the automotive industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy and quality
- Accurately stock and label parts in designated warehouse locations
- Pick and stage parts orders for service technicians and retail customers
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory counts and participate in regular cycle counts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist with shipping and returns processing
- Communicate effectively with parts counter staff, service advisors, and management
- Demonstrates behaviour consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
- Cross train on other Parts positions to help with departmental coverage and prepare for future opportunities as they arise
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required to assist with occasional deliveries
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Dependable, punctual, and organized with a positive attitude
- Strong proficiency with the English language to effectively communicate order details and discrepancies with Summit GM employees and clientele in need of Parts Department assistance.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or parts department is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
