We’re looking for someone detail-oriented and scientifically driven who can help ensure our product quality remains top-tier. If you enjoy working in a lab setting and contributing to safe, reliable fuel production, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform microbiological testing and interpret results, complete related reporting and documentation.
  • Collect samples throughout the processing facility and monitor product quality using instruments such as HPLC, moisture analyzer, pH meter, and NIR test equipment.
  • Calibrate, verify, and maintain lab equipment; prepare test solutions and instruments.
  • Monitor and manage lab inventory, and ensure procedures are updated and followed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and promote safety across lab operations.
  • Train team members on sampling techniques and the proper use of lab equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will report to the Quality Assurance & Environmental Manager and work closely with others on a team that values precision, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Why it matters:

We help grow Western Canadian communities through our commitment to purchase local grain and starch inputs to produce ethanol and dried distillers grain (DDG). We use the ethanol to support a lower carbon economy in Western Canada.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Quality and Environmental Services, and:

  • Have 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Have a Diploma in Chemical Technology.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
  • As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure an enjoyable candidate experience. If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, we invite you to submit your requests to us via fclhr@fcl.crs. All information received will be kept confidential.

If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply by July 28, 2025.

We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted.

As this position is considered to be safety sensitive and a position of trust, you may be required to complete a substance test and criminal record check in accordance with CEC policies.

FCL embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re working to create a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve and an environment where every team member brings their whole self to work. We believe all candidates should feel at home with us and be given the opportunity to fully participate during the recruitment process.
