About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst.
Reporting to our Director, Finance & Accounting, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing Senior Leadership with the financial analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions. This role will play a key part in budgeting and forecasting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s objectives. You will have a chance to grow, build and maintain relationships at varying levels.
The annual salary range is $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience. This position is remote but may require to be in-office at times.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited:
- Prepare and provide insights on key financial metrics such as monthly gross donations KPI, MRR for all Canadahelp Products, LTV/CAC to identify areas for optimization and growth;
- Lead and deliver regular monthly and quarterly revenue performance insights report to senior leadership;
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly forecast updates with Lines of Business (LOB) Leads;
- Work closely with the LOB leads as well as various departments like Data, Marketing, Charity Engagement to understand their financial needs and provide support in achieving their objectives;
- Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with LOB leads to gather data and develop accurate revenue targets aligned with organizational goals;
- Own the process for preparing financial models including scenario planning and forward-looking financial analysis to identify trends and support long-term strategic planning;
- Leverage the NetSuite Planning and Budgeting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the strategic value of the financial planning and analysis;
- Manage ad hoc financial projects as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years progressive work experience in financial modelling, budgeting/forecasting and analysis (ideally in SaaS environment);
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting;
- CFA (or working towards CFA designation) or equivalent is an asset;
- Ability to provide insightful Powerpoint presentation for various stakeholders;
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle- Netsuite) with Netsuite preferred;
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability in dealing with with Senior Leadership and working with minimal supervision.
