About the role
The Granite Club is looking for a Director of Racquets who will lead and elevate our racquet sports programs. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Club’s racquet sports, including tennis, squash, badminton, pickleball, and table tennis.
The Director reporting to the General Manager and working collaboratively with other Athletics peers will design and implement engaging programs for all ages and skill levels, foster a vibrant racquet sports community, and ensure exceptional service delivery and professionalism aligned with our Granite Gold Hospitality standards.

Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Group, collaborating on Club-wide initiatives
- Develop and implement strategic plans for racquet sports programming
- Lead and mentor a team of racquet sports professionals
- Establish competitive compensation guidelines and manage departmental budgets
Act as Liaison for the Athletics and Recreation Advisory Panel
Program Development & Operations
- Design and deliver inclusive racquet sports programs for all ages and skill levels
- Promote member engagement through outreach and community-building initiatives
- Provide expert coaching while maintaining leadership responsibilities
- Support competitive play and member participation in leagues and tournaments
- Collaborate with Section Committees and Club departments to enhance offerings
- Ensures compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety
Required Qualifications
- Athletics-related University/College Degree or Diploma preferred
- Minimum five years of industry experience in racquet sports leadership
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of all racquet sports and experience attracting top coaching talent
- Computer literacy and familiarity with booking systems
- Commitment to confidentiality, respect, and continuous improvement
