Content Specialist – Lodestar Digital
Lodestar Digital is looking for a Content Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, B.C.
Reporting to the Sponsored Content Team Lead and working alongside Lodestar Media’s internal content studio, the Content Specialist will help bring bold, engaging campaigns to life for clients of all sizes. You’ll work across Lodestar Media Group’s dynamic portfolio—which includes Vancouver is Awesome, Business in Vancouver, North Shore News, and more—creating content that resonates, informs, and drives results.

What You'll Do:
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute the strategic components of content campaigns—developing key messages, selecting platforms, and deploying assets like Meta ads, LinkedIn ads, and local display to maximize engagement.
- Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day coordination of deliverables across multiple campaigns, managing timelines, workflows, stakeholders, and resources to ensure everything runs smoothly from kickoff to reporting.
- Communication: Act as the connective thread between clients, account managers, and writers to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Client Collaboration: Assess client needs and develop branded content campaigns that tap into Lodestar Media’s community news network to support brand growth and audience engagement.
- Content Strategy: Shape campaign direction by developing audience-first strategies aligned with each client’s brand voice, goals, and marketing objectives.
- Content Creation: Translate strategy into compelling, high-quality content that aligns with brand voice and publication standards.
- Performance Analysis: Track campaign performance, interpret key metrics, and deliver actionable insights to guide optimization and future planning.
- SEO Integration: Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices to enhance visibility and discoverability.
What We’re Looking For:
● Experience: 2+ years planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, with a solid foundation in writing and editing; CP style familiarity is an advantage.
● Education: Post-secondary diploma/degree in marketing (content marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing), communications, journalism, or related field.
● Digital Expertise: Familiarity with digital advertising (Facebook Ads, Google Ads), CMS platforms and Project Management tools.
● Analytical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics to track and optimize campaign performance.
● Personal Traits:
- A natural relationship-builder with confident leadership skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Flexible and adaptable, you know how to pivot strategies when client needs change.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and know how to deliver top-notch results under pressure.
