Duties
- Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods.
- Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Support the team in maintaining inventory levels by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals to customers.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food service operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
- A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing excellent service is highly valued.
