Job Description:

Key responsibilities of a Welding Robot Operator include:

A robot operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of robots used in various applications. They oversee the robots, ensuring they function correctly and produce outputs according to specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotic systems, particularly those used in welding or other industrial applications, can be an asset.
  • 2 years worked in field (includes specific to but not limited upgraded training on Robotic Equipment
  • 3D AutoCAD drafting knowledge is an asset.
  • Programming and operating robotic welding systems:

This involves setting up and programming the robots to perform specific welding tasks, adjusting welding parameters, and ensuring the robots operate safely and efficiently.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting robotic welding equipment:

This includes performing routine maintenance checks, diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring the robots are functioning correctly.

  • Inspecting welds:

Checking the quality of welds to ensure they meet specified standards and identifying any defects.

  • Following safety protocols:

Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations related to welding and robotic operations.

  • Assisting with other welding-related tasks:

This may include loading and unloading parts, using hand tools, and following technical diagrams.

  • Optimizing welding parameters and processes:

Working to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the robotic welding process.

  • Quality Control:

Operators may also inspect the output of the robot to ensure it meets quality standards and make adjustments if necessary.
