About The Role The Program Manager is a key member of the HSO Standards team, reporting to the Senior Program Manager. This role provides the opportunity to co-design the development of people-centred, evidence-informed, high-quality health and social services standards. You will be working collaboratively with members of the Standards team and valued team members from across the organization, Subject Matter Experts, organizational partners, and Technical Committees comprised of people with lived experience, policymakers, clinicians, and researchers.

You are a regulated health care professional with experience in a variety of settings inclusive of large, complex healthcare organizations. You have a growth mindset and enjoy learning within a highly collaborative and progressive team. You are skilled in evidence synthesis, facilitation and standards development with an eye for detail. You are a creative, solution-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment with agility and a focus on continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading the co-design, development, and release of people-centred, evidence-informed, high-quality standards in compliance with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) requirements.
  • Managing projects with well-defined scope and deliverables, effective planning, tracking and documentation, efficient resource management, proactive risk and change management, and sharing lessons learned.
  • Recruiting external collaborators such as subject matter experts and technical committee members, and leading both internal contributors (including content specialists, editors, and technical writers) and external collaborators involved in the project.
  • Environmental scanning, literature review, analysis and synthesis, concept and content mapping to inform content development.
  • Contributing positively to our team and workplace culture, focused on collaboration and learning together.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Regulated health professional in good standing
  • Master’s degree in health sciences, health policy, public health or a related field
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement methodologies and patient safety science
  • 5+ years of experience producing evidence-informed products such as standards, policies, best practice guidelines, evidence synthesis, or systematic reviews
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Advanced evidence searching, analysis, and synthesis skills
  • Critical thinking, self-initiated, and the ability to work independently, seeking and providing guidance when decisions are required
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities
  • Strong team effectiveness and leadership skills
  • Efficient with technology and working in a hybrid or remote environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management certification
  • Global health experience
  • Operational healthcare leadership experience
  • Experience in Accreditation
  • Bilingualism in English and French
