We’re a new Canadian fintech startup on a mission to help students build healthy credit habits early. Our digital-first “credit builder” tool offers transparent terms, fun custom card designs, and real-time credit bureau reporting.
Role Overview
As a Student Ambassador, you’ll leverage your campus network to introduce peers to our credit-building solution. You’ll receive a unique referral link and earn commission for every friend who signs up and funds their account.
Key Responsibilities
- Referral Outreach: Share your personal referral link via social media, DMs, group chats, student forums, and in-person conversations.
- Campaign Partnership: Work with our marketing team to ensure flawless execution of outbound campaigns (emails, SMS, etc.), including content accuracy, targeting, and compliance checks.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as the student-facing authority on Canadian personal finance and credit education while adhering to brand voice guidelines (advised by marketing team).
- Content Sharing: Post short videos or stories (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat) showing how our tool works and why you recommend it.
- Event Activation (Optional): Host small virtual or in-person info sessions (e.g., club meetings) to demo the app and answer questions.
- Reporting: Provide brief weekly updates on your referral results and feedback.
Compensation
- Commission: Earn for each successfully funded student account (i.e., when a friend signs up and deposits at least the minimum $200).
- Bonuses:
- 15 referrals/month → one-time bonus
- Top ambassador each month → featured in our newsletter + bonus
Requirements
- Must be a current student at a Canadian college or university.
- Active on at least one social channel with 200+ followers (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and comfortable talking financial topics with peers.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to provide timely updates.
- Willing to learn credit-building basics (we’ll provide training + templates).
