Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and organized estimates for Stipulated Sum, Design Build, and Construction Management projects.
- Review and analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and budget.
- Collaborate with the estimating team on schedules, budgets, and subcontractor selection.
- Maintain and update unit pricing and cost databases for materials and labour.
- Send bid invitations, respond to subcontractor inquiries, and manage communication throughout the tendering process.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and assist with risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed on market trends to develop effective bid strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Post-secondary degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, with 1-2 years in commercial projects.
- Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam, and Smartbid; experience with Procore is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
