About the role

Our team is expanding and looking for an Injection Molding Engineer. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

The Injection Molding Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Injection Molding technology. This role is the gatekeeper of best practices for injection molding, and will be the conduit to ensure that what is developed in the engineering is correct and successfully implemented in the plants. Other responsibilities include:

  • Directed the mold evaluation during the new product development phase, oversaw the mold opening process, and ensured timely delivery of samples.
  • Assumes full responsibility for the entire lifecycle management of molds, encompassing order submission and acceptance, real-time monitoring of mold status, and executing the mold scrapping process in accordance with established standards.
  • Coordinates the management of mold technical documentation, including but not limited to archiving product section drawings and mold blueprints, as well as maintaining and updating the mold registry.
  • Conducted comprehensive evaluations of mold suppliers and established an enhanced supplier evaluation system.
  • Undertook mold mapping tasks, completed 3D modeling work, and provided data support for mold maintenance and improvements.
  • Spearheaded the mold cost reduction initiative, focusing on optimizing product wall thickness to achieve cost efficiency objectives.
  • Oversaw the establishment and training of local technical team personnel.

To qualify for this role you must meet the following:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, mechanical design, mold design, or related fields is preferred.
  • 3+ years minimum experience with aluminum extrusion processes, mold manufacturing technologies, and mold flow analysis is required.
  • Proficiency in CAD drafting, 3D modeling, and office software is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual - Mandarin and English is a plus
