We are looking for a Pharmacist to work with our Pharmacy Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Pharmacist within Pharmacy Department

To work in the capacity of a hospital Pharmacist with an expectation of strong clinical abilities and leadership. Pharmacists rotate through different specialties (i.e. paediatrics, ICU, general medicine). Daily functions include dispensary activity, clinical services, participation in committee work and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university pharmacy program
  • Licensed and registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Part A
  • Hospital order entry and verification experience
  • Ability to use effective time management skills to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills
  • Committed to continued professional development
  • A minimum of 1500 hours of experience in an inpatient hospital setting over the last two years
  • Chemotherapy and Oncology experience using OPIS and verifying orders
  • Meditech computer experience is an asset
  • Hospital residency an asset
  • Acceptable performance and attendance records

Hiring Salary Range: $48.21 - $64.50

**The duration of this temporary contract is approximately 9 months.
