As an FP&A Financial Analyst on Pomerleau's finance team, you will actively contribute to all planning, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis activities supporting the main strategic decisions of the business units under your responsibility.
What you will do
-
Participate in the development of annual budgets and their follow-up, in collaboration with the VPs of the business units and the leaders of the functions under his/her responsibility;

Collaborate with project managers to establish budget structures, according to project types;
-
Support project managers in drawing up their monthly project forecasts and ensure their analysis
-
Ensure continuous monitoring of actual revenues and expenses in relation to the established budget, and question business unit leaders on variances
-
Prepare month-end, adjusting entries (WIPs) and analyses for each of the projects in his/her business unit
-
Contribute to the preparation of management and operational dashboards for various stakeholders such as: Business Units, Management Committees, Executive Committee, Board of Directors

Update the backlog and softbacklog of his/her Business Unit monthly

Ensure proper accounting and monitoring of risks and opportunities in projects and in the Business Unit

Ensure the integrity and conformity of revenues and actual costs declared on forecasts monthly
-
Train new employees on cost control tools and procedures
-
Show initiative to involve administrative teams in the start-up of new projects and ensure their smooth running.

Report to the immediate superior any discrepancies or major problems identified during the cost control review

Participate in the year-end audit for selected projects under his/her responsibility

Collaborate with the accounting and administrative teams to resolve issues related to project forecasts

Contribute to any other requests for his/her business unit or corporate as needed (Ad-Hoc)
This role could be for you if you have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, administration or finance;
- Accounting designation (CPA) (asset);
- 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting, finance or project management;
- Advanced level of French;
