Multi-Station Program Director & Announcer – Bancroft, ON
Bancroft, Ontario is located just 245 kilometers from Toronto and 220 kilometers from Ottawa in the heart of Ontario’s Cottage Country. If you’re a team player, a self-starter, and willing to learn and lead by example, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Director, responsible for the on-air product on multiple Vista station in the Cottage Country.
- Be a part of the community; live, work and play here in the local market/community.
- Host an entertaining show listeners can relate to, live and locally focused.
- Music scheduling software knowledge a must, G-Selector would be terrific!
- Know how to prep a great show for our audience! Assist to develop creative promotions
- Voice track shifts as necessary
- Be keen with social media (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube)
- Voice commercials for other Vista properties as needed
- Community liaison for the station
- Host station on-location broadcasts as assigned
- Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
- Passion for all things radio and the desire to lead a small team to success,
- Minimum of 3 years On-Air Host experience
- Knowledge with G-Selector or similar music scheduling software,
- Strong verbaI and written communication skills
- Post Secondary Broadcast training from an accredited institution,
- A valid class 5 driver's license,
- Working familiarity with Adobe Audition,
- Demonstrated ability to use and excel with social media (Face book, Twitter, lnstagram, etc) and
- Comprehensive knowledge or experience working in a small market is an asset
