About this opportunity: The Senior Control Center Advisor is responsible for the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Husky Midstream Control Center. This is achieved by ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient midstream control center operations for Husky Midstream being responsible for data quality assurance, field scheduling, and regulatory compliance, including administration of the Control Room Management Plan. The Senior Control Center Advisor coordinates and plans outages that impact customers while minimizing disruptions and maintaining operational integrity. The advisor also drives Cenovus’s Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS) initiatives to foster a safe work culture while overseeing operator training programs.

Work Environment:

  • This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area
  • This is a full-time employee position working a shift rotation

What you’ll do:

  • Support control room operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency across Husky Midstream including leak detection system testing, batch scheduling, inventory management, outage coordination, and system balancing
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Control Center, OT systems, corporate IT, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Management of regulatory compliance rates, safety incident metrics, volumetric accounting accuracy, and operator training metrics
  • Participate and conduct safety, environmental, regulatory, and COIMS audits as well as of the control room operator training plan
  • Serve as regulatory compliance contact, collaborating with corporate teams for audits and adherence to corporate/government regulations
  • Support troubleshooting for field operations, leak detection, and SCADA teams
  • Contribute to business development and operations optimization projects and provide compliance recommendations for projects and MOCs

Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • 8+ years experience in midstream oil and gas with Expertise in PHMSA, Canadian regulations, and control room management
  • Proficiency in OaSYS (PLM, Liquids) and DNV Leak Detection (RTTM, simulation)

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
