We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in public accounting to join our team in a Senior Accountant position. The successful candidate should have at least three years’ experience in public accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements at the compilation, review and audit engagement levels in all sectors including corporate and not-for-profit sector
• Prepare personal, corporate, partnership, charity, social housing and other compliance returns
• Develop positive working relationships with clients and staff
• Work effectively in a team environment or independently
• Supervise and train staff accountants
• Participate in pre and post engagement discussions
• Work within time budgets, monitor progress to budget and meet deadlines
• Report progress of engagements to Managers and Partners on an ongoing basis
• Examine and analyze accounting and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in public practice
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• Expansive knowledge of GAAP
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and professional manner
• Good working knowledge of CaseWare and CCH iFirm. Familiarity with various bookkeeping software including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage etc.
