About the role
We have an exciting opportunity with Trotec Laser Canada. We are looking for an Account Executive for our Materials division with extensive customer service background.
Position Title: Account Executive - Materials
Department: Material Sales
Reports To: Regional Materials Manager
Location: Calgary, AB or Mississauga, ON
COMPENSATION: $45,000 - $50,000 CAD ANNUAL
Key Responsibilities:
· Increasing Turnover of Materials in the assigned region and maintaining a highly valued customer experience.
Sales and Customer Management:
- Effectively manage and develop the assigned customer base and regional area to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through outbound emails, account management calls, lead generation, and follow-ups on website or web shop inquiries.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within targeted and existing client companies.
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure customers receive regular and effective sales calls to maintain and grow business relationships.
Customer Service:
- Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently while ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
Collaboration and Strategy:
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies for both new and existing customers.
- Demonstrate and explain the features and benefits of Trotec Materials products and services
- Participate in local events and meetings
Database Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities & customer interactions.
- Update and improve the database of prospects and existing clients, including details about client machinery, use of materials and who the decision-makers are.
- Provide regular sales reports and insights to the Regional Materials Manager.
Order Processing and Accuracy:
- Deliver accurate information to the Customer Service Department to make sure orders are processed correctly
- Process orders in a timely and accurate manner
Market Awareness and Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the Trotec Materials product offerings, services, and marketing initiatives
- Communicate/Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends to stay competitive.
Other:
- Other tasks assigned by the Regional Materials Manager
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a related role.
- Proficient French speaker is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Proficient in using Salesforce (or other related CRM systems)
- Proficient in using SOP (Experience in using SAP is a plus)
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Knowledge of the laser and/or creative industry and related products is an advantage.
