About the role
Position Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and the laundry department consistently meet the cleanliness and presentation standards of TOOR Hotel. This role includes inspecting rooms and facilities, training team members, and supporting the Executive Housekeeper in administrative tasks to ensure efficient and high-quality housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and brand standards.
- Supervise and support the laundry department, ensuring proper procedures for sorting, washing, folding, and distribution of linens.
- Train, coach, and mentor new and existing housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels for linens, cleaning supplies, guest room amenities, and uniforms; assist with ordering and stock management.
- Address performance issues promptly and ensure team members adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily task assignments.
- Respond quickly and professionally to guest feedback and service requests.
- Communicate effectively with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure timely readiness of guest rooms and resolution of any deficiencies.
- Maintain documentation including room inspection checklists, training records, and safety logs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a housekeeping role; supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to perform housekeeping tasks, including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Must currently reside in Canada with the right to work.
Working Conditions:
- Hotel environment requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals (personal protective equipment provided).
- Standing, walking, and lifting required for extended periods during shifts.
