Tempo F&B Bartender
Located in the heart of downtown Halifax, The Barrington Hotel is the perfect destination for no-hassle travelers seeking value, convenience, and a warm maritime welcome. Join our team and help us deliver welcoming Halifax hospitality. The Barrington Hotel is presently seeking a Bartender at Tempo.
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Bartender will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining hotel standards.
What you will be doing:
- welcoming each guest warmly and with enthusiasm, always creating an exceptional first impression
- providing guest with food & beverage suggestions, while taking in consideration preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions;
- promptly receiving drink order chits and preparing beverages;
- communicating beverage descriptions, special and information to guests and team members
- stocking and maintaining all bar products including mise en place;
- checking and maintaining beer keg and liquor levels;
- counting and taking inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering;
- other similar duties as assigned.
The person we are looking for has:
- past experience in a similar role
- full time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- a strong attention to detail
- serve Right certification is required
- a sincere desire to provide excellent service
- the capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and is physically able to stand for an entire shift
