Overview :

Best Brains Learning Centers of Scarborough Morningside is hiring OCT Teacher who are enthusiastic have strong Knowledge in teaching strategies, and good communication skills for the Part-time position to teach Math and English for Primary/Intermediate /Secondary levels ( grades up to 8).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect among peers.
• Assess student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and improve teaching skills.
• Maintain classroom organization and manage resources effectively to create an optimal learning environment
• Teach and instruct with a teacher to student ratio of 1:5.
• Be comfortable teaching both Math and English(reading and writing strategies).
• Keeping track of student progress and providing feedback to parents/center administrators.
• No preparation needed for class. All answer keys provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/ Intermediate Education or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or license for the state of employment.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating strong leadership skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for instruction and classroom management is a plus.
• Previous experience in middle school setting is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Position Qualifications: OCT Certified.

Minimum 1 year of experience.

Bachelors in Education or College degree in Math and English.

Monday to Wednesday - Between 4:20- 7:30
