About the Medical Associate Position
As Medical Associate, you will support a variety of business functions to ensure successful strategy implementation and efficient operation of the medical team. You will be responsible for liaising with healthcare professionals to develop scientifically and clinically accurate medical content. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of therapeutic areas, products, and stakeholders, and obtain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute medical education and communications programs. This includes, but is not limited to, advisory boards, medical education programs, medical and training events, and publications.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage medical content, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and internal teams for content creation
- Facilitate communication with clients and healthcare professionals
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and healthcare professionals
- Coordinate with external contractors for content development
- Manage compliance reviews using client software
- Prepare written communications to various stakeholders
- Handle submissions to ethics (e.g., IRB), and accrediting (e.g., CFPC) bodies
- Contribute to timeline management
- Conduct literature searches to analyze therapeutic areas and support content development
- Provide ad-hoc support to other functional departments
You will be successful in this role if you:
- An advanced degree in health science
- Have a strong interest in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical communications industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Essential skills: attention to detail, organizational proficiency, effective teamwork, prioritization
- Previous experience in medical communications, authorship of scientific publications, and university course development and teaching, will be beneficial
- Bilingualism (French) is an asset
What We Offer
- Starting base salary of 60,000 CAD to 70,000 CAD, proportionate with experience and qualifications
- Annual performance bonuses

- Three weeks of vacation, in addition to two weeks company shut down in December and half-day Summer Fridays from Victoria Day to Labour Day

The Interview Process
- A preliminary interview with the Associate Medical Director and an Account Director. During this interview, we will learn more about your background and experience, share details about the position, and answer any questions you may have.
- Successful candidates can expect a second in-person interview, which will include the Associate Medical Director and a Business Unit Director. At this interview, candidates will have an opportunity to give a 5-minute slide-based presentation on the topic of their choice.
