As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations during food handling and preparation.
- Support the cooking staff by preparing items needed for daily service.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
- Can work at weekend and flexible time. Better live in Vaughan Area.
