About the role
The Outlet Manager will oversee all Food and beverage operations including breakfast, meeting spaces and Bokeh Lounge.
YOUR ROLE
- Ensure that all banquet events, meetings, breakfast service and Bokeh Lounge operate successfully and are individually profitable
- Coach and train employees reflecting Groupe Germain service standards
- Provide guidance and operational support to the team
- Manage recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, development and performance management of the staff
- Conduct quarterly talent reviews
- Conduct quarterly departmental communication meetings
- Manage payroll, banking and staff gratuities
- Attend, BEO, Operations, department head meetings as required
- Schedule staff and management according to business levels
- Maintain inventories and ensure equipment is in working order
- Ensure quality levels and maintain quality standards in production, service, and guest satisfaction
- Develop action plan to achieve productivity targets
- Develop action plan for efficient execution of events
- Set up and maintain safe working conditions and practices
- Liaise regularly with other departments
- Organise food and beverage events, promotions and advertising
- Develop food & beverage menu for the lounge in collaboration with the Sous Chef.
- Manage Bokeh social media account (with support from Marketing team)
- Other work-related tasks as per manager’s request
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum four years’ experience in a role with direct personnel supervision
- Experience in catering and events management.
- Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively, with an acute sense of time management and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage efficient staffing levels and achieving productivity targets.
- History of taking initiatives and trying new ideas, showing the ability to be daring.
- Assertive, professional and positive with proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, outgoing, friendly, persuasive personality
- Good understanding of current licensing and employment laws
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
