Description Journeyperson Mechanic (Full-Time) 10102 100 Street, Fort St. John, BC

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair vehicles using diagnostic tools to identify issues and perform necessary repairs, maintenance, and part replacements. Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as needed.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including CVIP inspections. Maintain accurate service records and manage parts procurement.
- Collaborate with technicians, management, and drivers to meet shop priorities and schedules. Follow all safety, environmental, and HR procedures in line with OH&S and inspection standards.
- Keep a clean, safe workspace and communicate effectively with the team. Support apprentice training, suggest training needs, and attend required company programs.
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman Technician Certification (Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Automotive may be considered with Air Brake Endorsement)
- A CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License or willingness to obtain during employment is required
- 2–5 years of related experience, including exposure to working as a Journeyperson Mechanic
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license with an air brake endorsement, and no more than 3 demerit points on your record.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent Health & Safety Knowledge, particularly OH&S rules and regulations guidelines, with a keen eye for detail
- Employment is contingent upon receiving a favorable background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
Bonus Points If You Have
- Prior experience maintaining transit vehicles or a large fleet is an asset
- Experience with Work Order Management Applications is considered an asset

Salary Range: $46 - $50/hr depending on experience and qualifications
