We are looking for a Unit Manager, PI Underwriting to join BrokerLink and work out of one of our offices in Alberta, Ontario, or Atlantic region on a Permanent FT Basis.

What the Role Entails:

• Develops and manages effective working relationships with insurance company partners.
• Oversees internal underwriting processes to ensure compliance with insurer binding authorities, brokerage protocols, and regulatory bodies.
• Assists in the development and tracking of departmental performance metrics.
• Establishes and maintains service standards by optimizing workflows, setting priorities, and ensuring timely underwriting decisions.
• Leads training and development initiatives for personal lines staff on underwriting guidelines, insurer appetites, and market trends.
• Supports the professional development of underwriting and service staff through coaching, performance management, and goal setting.

The Successful candidate will have:

• Post-Secondary Education
• RIBO license
• 10 + years’ experience working in personal insurance
• 5 years’ in a management role
• Strong customer focus
• Computer skills - Keyboarding and MS Office
• Exposure to Epic is an asset
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Conscientious and able to maintain confidentiality
• Experience in the integration and roll over of books of business
