About the role

NAIT is a Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) recognized course provider in the area of Real Estate. Students pursuing a real estate license can take their courses required for certification through NAIT. The Practice of Commercial Real Estate is one area of specialization students can choose to pursue after completing the Fundamentals of Real Estate course.

Working within the Business and Productivity Portfolio, we are hiring a contract course facilitator who will facilitate NAIT’s Practice of Commercial Real Estate course. Courses are delivered in an asynchronous (online, self-paced) format using the LMS Brightspace.

The successful candidate must be an active licensed realtor in the practice area of Commercial, possess broad and extensive experience and subject matter expertise relating to commercial real estate in Alberta, and must have a passion for serving others and helping students succeed.

Ideally candidates will have facilitated courses and workshops previously, but it is not required. Facilitation training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The role of the facilitator will be to guide students through online learning by providing continuous feedback and communication, reviewing progress and challenges, and responding daily to student inquiries.

Facilitators must be capable of investing a minimum of 3 hours per week, typically spread out over the week, and must remain accessible to students and provide timely responses, daily.

Candidates selected for an interview may be required to prepare and present a lesson or may be required to showcase their online asynchronous facilitation skills.

We thank all applicants for their interest in NAIT as an employer, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

For those individuals who have held previous contracts with NAIT, please ensure that you re-submit your expression of interest through this process for further consideration.

Please submit a resume and cover letter to be considered for this opportunity.
