About the role

Private nurse caring for a child with medical needs:

We are recruiting nurses (RN/LPN) to add to a nursing team caring for a pediatric client (toddler) in Langford**.** This job will entail providing 1:1 respite care in the home environment, monitoring a child and providing assistance and support to the parents who are caring for the child with medical needs. Paid training is provided. Shifts are flexible, days / night shifts are available.

Duties include: medication administration, baby care, respiratory care and monitoring of medical devices (all training is provided).

Care will be provided in the childs home or at daycare/playgroup with the child.

Qualifications:

  • Current ‘practicing’ registration with BCCNM
  • Valid CPR ‘C’ / BLS certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
