Job Description
We are looking to hire a licensed (310T), full-time 310T Mechanic Foreman with experience in fleet maintenance. The 310T Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy-duty equipment. This role requires an organized, skilled, and experienced mechanic with computer savvy—who can work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assigning mechanics their jobs using the shop computer system (TMT)
- Working closely with other mechanics, technicians, and relevant departments—to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities
- Authorizing repairs both in the shop and on the road
- Reviewing mechanics’ work orders—making sure all parts and labour are changed-out on the proper sections
- Conducting operational tests on repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Arranging repairs with outside vendors for both scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs, both in Canada and the U.S.
- Monitoring mechanics to see that their work is performed in an effective, cost-efficient, and timely manner
- Working with dispatchers to ensure that equipment is repaired according to priority
- Arranging facility and special equipment repairs when required, according to company guidelines
- Conducting routine inspections, lubrications, and maintenance tasks on various pieces of heavy equipment
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities; preparing reports for management and preserving a log of tasks completed
- Monitoring well-organized inventory levels, and requesting necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy-duty equipment mechanic, preferably with fleet maintenance and expertise in 310T-class equipment
- Valid 310T Mechanic License is required
- Significant knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems in heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Attention to detail and a solid commitment to safety protocols.

- Salary: $90,000- $100,000 annually
