Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our front office team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely billing and collections
- Prepare and send patient invoices and insurance claims
- Follow up on outstanding balances via phone, email, and mail
- Reconcile daily receipts and process payments (cash, credit, EFT)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient financial records
- Collaborate with dental staff to resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with dental billing codes and privacy regulations (e.g., Alberta Health, CDAnet)
- Generate reports and assist with month-end closing as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or finance (preferably in a dental or medical office)
- Knowledge of dental billing software (e.g., Dentrix, ABELDent, or Tracker) is an asset
- Familiarity with dental insurance processes and terminology
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.22-$28.54 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
