The Menominee Mill (located in Menominee, Michigan), produces high-quality recycled bleached kraft pulp annually for manufacturers of uncoated free sheet, commercial and away-from-home tissue, and coated paper in the United States.

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team and will be accepting applications for a Custodian/Janitorial position . This is a full-time, benefit eligible position with hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities will be to clean, dust, and sanitize all offices, conference rooms, break rooms, first aid room, restrooms, locker rooms, lab areas, control room, elevator, hallways, stairways, and remove all trash.
  • Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping as well as stocking designated areas and maintain supply room closets.
  • Additional responsibilities include cleaning windows and glass displays, following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers on occasion.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of power equipment (floor scrubbers and buffers) and safe handling of chemical solutions used for cleaning would be a plus but not required.
  • Successful candidates will need to understand and follow all safety guidelines and procedures and the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. This position is in a manufacturing environment.
