Director of Finance

About noissue.

noissue. is a global sustainable packaging company helping businesses deliver branded, eco-conscious packaging solutions. As we continue to scale globally, we’re looking for a technically strong and analytically driven Senior Accountant to play a key role within our Finance team. This position offers the opportunity to lead accounting functions while contributing heavily to FP&A and management-level reporting.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Finance, your responsibilities will go beyond standard accounting. You will own core accounting functions, lead reporting processes, and independently extract and manipulate data from systems such as Xero, Power BI, and our CRM system to build insightful and actionable reports for management. You’ll bring a full understanding of accounting principles and financial operations, while also helping shape the reporting infrastructure that drives strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Ownership

  • Own and maintain the monthly AR tracker, ensuring all outstanding receivables are updated, accurate, and shared with the Sales team for account-level follow-ups.
  • Perform monthly sales reconciliation and margin analysis, ensuring accurate posting to Xero and alignment with our CRM system, actual billing and cash receipts.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to enforce adherence to payment terms per customer contracts, and flag accounts for collections or credit holds where applicable.
  • Reconcile customer payments against invoices to ensure proper application of receipts and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date AR schedules, and provide insights to management, flagging overdue accounts and high-risk customers.
  • Support journal entries and reconciliations related to AR during the monthly close.

Accounts Payable Oversight

  • Oversee the invoice monitoring and payment management system.
  • Communicate with vendors as needed to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable.

Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Update and refine cash flow forecasting models, incorporating real-time AR and AP data.
  • Monitor cash inflows/outflows and support working capital optimization strategies.

Data Analysis & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Take initiative in building reports from raw data – pulling directly from Xero, Power BI, and the CRM – to create scalable and insightful reporting tools for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline data flows and automate reporting processes.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Support and contribute to the monthly and quarterly P&L deck in collaboration with the Director of Finance:

  • Export and structure data from Xero, Power BI, and the CRM system
  • Build and maintain dynamic spreadsheets and dashboards
  • Update actuals, create supporting tables, and analyze budget vs. actual variances
  • Provide commentary and insights for leadership decision-making

Payroll & Tax Compliance

  • Oversee payroll processes across multiple geographies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local employment and tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns, coordinating with external tax advisors where needed.
  • Prepare and file sales tax (GST/VAT) returns in applicable jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Maintain appropriate tax documentation and tracking for each region.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the financial liaison to the Sales and Supply Teams to ensure transparency and accountability in billing, collections, and customer contract compliance.
  • Work with management and internal stakeholders to interpret financial results and drive operational improvements based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in the physical goods industry, ideally in a high-growth or global business environment
  • Strong command of Xero, with demonstrated experience working across Power BI, CRM systems, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets
  • Deep understanding of core accounting principles (specifically IFRS), financial statement preparation, and internal controls
  • Proven ability to build financial models and interpret large datasets into actionable insights
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of operating both strategically and hands-on
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in presenting to and advising senior management
