Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Manager - Tbaytel Store, the Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets.

Major Responsibilities

  • Greet and acknowledge every customer, maintain solid product knowledge and perform all other aspects of customer service.
  • Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
  • Complete sales orders and point of Sales transactions accurately.
  • Responsible for Customer Relationship Management.
  • Perform post-sale follow-up and support.
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
  • Educate customers on Tbaytel’s products and services to ensure they make informed decisions.
  • Showcase the features of Tbaytel’s products and services and how they can benefit the consumer.
  • Communicate customer requests/concerns to management.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and complies with all legislation and Tbaytel policies relevant to the position and the duties performed.
  • Any other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma and one year of experience in a retail and/or service environment.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and works in a professional and pleasant tone and manner
  • Technical ability to learn new software as required.
  • Effective Sales, time management, problem solving, analytical and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree
  • Previous retail sales experience
  • Knowledge of telecommunication industry, products and services
  • Proficiency in the use of various computer software programs, such as email, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Ability to communicate via American Sign Language (ASL)

  • Must successfully undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
