About the role
The Unit Clerk performs a variety of duties in support of the health care team including processing physician orders and liaising with other departments. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component. A course in Medical Terminology is required. Must have at least two to three years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent Unit Clerk experience on an acute care unit and/or ambulatory clinic setting required. Must have experience working with hospital-based computer systems and programs, specifically recent experience working with Connect Care. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain efficient while experiencing multiple interruptions. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have the ability to prioritize clinic needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience working with Connect Care and eClinician preferred. Experience working with pediatric patients and their families in a clinic setting an asset.
