Title: Framing Superintendent (residential construction)
Location: Edmonton and surrounding areas

Job Overview
Reporting to the Construction Manager, as the Framing Superintendent you will oversee construction of individual homes from the staking stage to the installation stage while ensuring customer satisfaction. You also coordinate various aspects of the construction process to ensure quality work is within budget and schedule.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily schedules, workloads and supplies with trades and suppliers, ensuring quality of workmanship and materials adhere to Qualico’s standards and all Building and Safety code requirements.
- Ensuring site plans, specifications and adjustments are updated and accurate to prevent errors or discrepancies and to resolve site issues or trade inquiries.
- Completing various construction and unit detailing tasks to prepare for home turnover.
- Promoting a safe work environment and conducting regular safety inspections. Ensuring all employees and trades work in a safe manner and comply with Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant safety legislation.
- Addressing customer concerns or inquiries in a professional and timely manner to ensure satisfaction of home quality.
- Driving production from job start to insulation completion and ensuring insulation numbers are obtained.
- Reviewing framed houses and ensuring a complete frame check has been completed and all items that should be in the house at this time are accounted for.

Essential Requirements
- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of framing experience, preferably in the residential construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Residential Site Superintendent.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements as well as varying techniques for different construction procedures.
- Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).

Work Conditions
You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work will have exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Regular travel to the regional office or other site locations is required. Overtime may occasionally be required.
