Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking an experienced Labourer to support the growing needs of our team!
This position is Monday to Thursday, 12 hours per day, at our client site (Suncor Fort Hills). The employee is required to stay in camp during their shift, bussing to and from town to site Monday morning and Thursday evening.
The work environment includes secluded areas and varying weather conditions in an on-site mining environment. A successful Laborer will have proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), well maintained tools, equipment, and first aid supplies as required.
The Labourer will be responsible for assisting our field crew in a variety of roles, including but not limited to washing trucks and equipment, receiving parts orders, performing inspections on trucks and equipment, and general housekeeping.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment through general cleanup such as sweeping, dusting, washing, shoveling, etc.
- Operate pressure washer in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drive in a winter setting and work in all weather conditions.
- Assist mechanics and other workers with maintenance and light repairs.
- Safe operation of company vehicles and equipment to move items effectively.
- Undertake other duties or complete emergency tasks as requested.
- Communicating with crews to coordinate work and provide updates.
- Attend and participate in site specific orientations as required.
- Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
- Promote and ensure the FLRA process is conducted before every task.
- Report and refuse unsafe work and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Complete near miss reports and hazard IDs.
- Report all incidents and hazards to the site superintendent.
- Perform any other job-related duties as requested by site superintendent.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience working in a mine setting.
- Completion of all site specific training, courses, and certificates post hire.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Able to lift up to 23KG (50LBS) safely as required by the job.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Successful candidates must have following prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-5 year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of journeyman (red-seal if out of province) trade tickets
- Copies of training certificates related to site-based work
