Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.
Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.
Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Property Management, will join our Industrial Property Operations Team. Reporting to the Assistant Property Manager, the Intern will be responsible for providing best in class customer service, management and support to the greater of the property management team. They will participate in a variety of tasks, such as accounts receivables, lease reviews, preparing tenant correspondences, as well as database maintenance.

What You Will Experience:
- Establish strong working relationship with tenants, staff and contractors, while maintaining excellence in customer service and performance
- Assist in the supervision of service contracts including janitorial, waste removal, window cleaning and security
- Assist in the tendering of building services contracts to ensure prudent, cost effective practices are constantly observed, scope of services are captured within the contract, and make recommendations for approval by the Property Manager.
- Assist in conducting regular building inspections, documenting any deficiencies via a work order. Work orders to be traced to ensure the deficiency is rectified in a timely manner.
- Ensure that tenant enquiries are responded to promptly and that a high standard of rapport and communication with tenants is consistently achieved.
- Assist with financial reporting including reviewing monthly income statements and reporting on any variances, reviewing capital expenditure to ensure accurate forecasting of cashflow and assist the Property manager on the preparation of quarterly reports.
- Assist with the development, submission and administration of the annual operating budget
- Assist in the execution and supervision of tenant events including environmental awareness sessions, tenant appreciation events & life safety training
- Prepare and distribute tenant correspondences, such as letters and bulletins
- Work cooperatively with Leasing to support achievement of budgeted leasing projections
- Other duties as required
What You Will Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institutional program such as Business, Real Estate, Urban Development, Property Management and/or other relevant programs
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written; able to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with senior management, contractors, tenants and the public; self-motivated and professional
- Team-oriented individual with the ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships
- Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and strong adherence to established deadlines
- Organized and efficient with strong multi-task skills and the ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
- Ability to analyze and interpret Company policies and procedures as well as relevant Acts and Legislation

The expected hourly range for this role is $23 to $25.
