What we're looking for

Passionate, efficient and detail-oriented individuals to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and information to customers through in-person, email or telephone correspondence, and must be able to interact with all kinds of customers effectively and respond to situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a positive shopping experience by actively greeting all visitors, being visible, friendly and knowledgeable about our products.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise throughout the store.
• Determine customers' needs and recommend the best solutions by maintaining an up-to-date expertise in products, services and promotions.
• Contribute positively to building and maintaining a friendly store and work environment.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Perform order management duties such as entering new orders for customers, reaching out to vendors on special orders, tracking and fulfilling orders, and resolving issues.
• Maintain company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, promotions and planograms.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers and management and assist where needed.
• Making local deliveries and transfer of stock between warehouse and stores as required.
• Janitorial duties shared among staff to maintain a clean working and shopping environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years sales and customer service experience in a retail environment.
• Experience working with tools either at home or on the job.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Capability to lift and move merchandise up to 100lbs.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computers for data entry.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Work self directed and set priorities in line with overall company objectives.
• Work both independently and in a team setting.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology and applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
