Job Description Document Controllers support the engineering department in maintaining quality documentation standards and tracking engineering deliverables. Typical tasks include reviewing internal documentation to verify it meets quality requirements, publishing internal documents, sending and receiving documentation (client and equipment vendor) per specifications in a timely manner, and maintaining databases recording these actions.
These tasks are time sensitive, involve multiple steps, and cover multiple projects; the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and organized, and possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills that are needed to create and maintain good rapport with engineers and Veolia clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications
- Provide quality checks for controlled documents and quality records
- Review, stamp, and publish documents
- Manage databases, reports, and document libraries
- Package, send, and track deliverables to/from client, vendor, or production team
- Understand and comply with ISO standards, drive account ability, and train functional teams as needed
- Able to quickly change direction as deadlines change and adjust to urgent requests, balance workload with little supervision, deliver assignments on time, and carefully follow engineering procedures for documentation management
- Printing and shipping of Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Other duties assigned by Document Control Leader as required depending on team needs and workload, changes in tools and project execution strategy, scope and nature of projects, and client specifications
Qualifications
- College degree with 5 years’ experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or architectural environment
- Work background in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or Design/Build related fields helpful
- Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Adobe, FTP sites, SAP, Google Workspace
