Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team and drive our company's growth initiatives and expand our client portfolio. As a member of the Sales team, you will be responsible for the growth of revenue across all lines of business (Software, Consultancy, Support and Hosting) with specific focus on Naviam SaaS Cloud and owned IP sales, growing annual recurring revenue (ARR).

The successful candidate should be self-starting and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Reporting directly to the CEO NAMR, the role will require efficient, focussed and responsive interaction as well as the ability to work autonomously on the day-to-day sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring CRM is meticulously maintained to support accurate forecasting and strategic decision-making.

  • Reporting sales performance to the CEO

  • Contribution towards the corporate sales strategy and sales plan

  • Contributing to the development of sales collateral required to meet the sales strategy

  • Strategise and sell MaxiCloud and Naviam owned IP and licensed products, emphasising ARR

  • Directly manage own sales opportunities through to purchase orders, providing detailed reports to the CEO

  • Develop and maintain 'C' level customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships

  • Play a key role in shaping the marketing strategy to ensure alignment with sales campaigns and the broader business objectives

  • Assigned other duties as determined by the CEO.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of business development experience, with at least 3 years in enterprise software solutions or asset management

  • Exceptional verbal, numeric, and written communication skills with a strong aptitude for client-facing interactions at the 'C' level

  • Strategic mindset with a commitment to meticulous CRM upkeep, enabling accurate sales forecasting

  • Leadership in pipeline development and management without direct sales team oversight

  • Understanding and experience of Enterprise Asset Management

  • Experience of working with and selling into Asset intensive industries

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following industries: Oil and Gas, Facilities Management, Utilities, Power Generation, Travel & Transport and Manufacturing.
